Join us for the Maw Maw Walker event, where we’ll be visiting 15 locally owned businesses throughout historic downtown Houma. With new additions to the route, this family-friendly stroll offers a delightful way to explore and support our vibrant community.
The event aims to revitalize downtown Houma and spotlight our local economy. Come experience the charm of our unique shops and eateries while enjoying a fun, engaging day out for all ages.

This awesome event takes place in Houma's Downtown Historic District, centered around the Bandstand.
The fun begins at noon with a costume contest for the best-dressed maw maw and paw paw. The main feature will be the walking pub crawl, known as the Maw Maw Walker. The purpose of this event is to bring patronage to downtown restaurants and pubs, and the downtown area in general. The pub crawl will begin following the costume contest on the bandstand and will finish with the concert beginning at 5 PM back at the bandstand.
